Jeff Rasansky, founder of The Rasansky Law Firm, has been named to D Magazine's 2003 list of "The Best Lawyers in Dallas." Thousands of Dallas attorneys were asked for their nominations for the magazine's biennial listing of the city's best attorneys. D Magazine's editors appointed a panel of esteemed Dallas attorneys to review the nominations and make final decisions.

"It's especially gratifying to be named to this list since the nomination came from other practicing attorneys," Mr. Rasansky says. "There are many great lawyers on this list, and I'm proud to be among them."

It's just the latest in a string of honors for Mr. Rasansky, who the magazine also chose last year as one of Dallas' "Best Lawyers Under 40." In 2001, Texas Lawyer newspaper recognized the work Jeff did in negotiating that year's largest reported medical malpractice settlement in Texas. The case involved the birth of a brain-damaged boy, and settled for $11 million. Also in 2001, Texas Lawyer named Mr. Rasansky to its list of "40 Under 40."

Mr. Rasansky has successfully represented clients in cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, products liability, serious accidents involving cars and motorcycles, and construction site injuries.

Mr. Rasansky earned his law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1990. After law school, he joined a downtown Dallas firm where he learned the legal tactics used by large insurance companies, hospitals and nursing homes. He then decided to begin representing individuals rather than large companies, and formed his own personal injury law firm in 1994. In the years since, he has won millions of dollars for clients who have been seriously injured by the negligence of others.
